Memorial Day Weekend

Since Steve is taking the CDL class at Richland, Friday nights I'm on my own.  Well my mom and dad and RJ took pity on me and invited me to dinner. :)  We started out at Coney McKane's and decided it was a holiday weekend so we needed to continue celebrating.

We headed to Sliderz for a few beers.

 Ando joined us!!
 And so did Jen!
Steve met us back and Mom and Dad's, but as you can see I was feeling pretty good! :)

Saturday we headed to BWW to watch RJ, Garrett, and Ando try to "Ride the Rail" (or drink 1 of every draft beer they have there - 20 16oz beers to be exact!)  Well...Garrett got cut off while we were there and we had to leave to head to Adam's surprise birthday party!

Jessica did a great job getting everything together...she had Taco Bell tacos and nachos and lots of alcohol. :)  It was great seeing a lot of people we haven't seen since our wedding and some even longer than that!  Steve had a great time, as I was the DD so he felt wonderful when he woke up Sunday morning.

Sunday was spent sitting by the pool (it was too cold to get in) at Mom and Dad's.  We had delicious food and played some games.  I took a nap while the rest of them watched movies. :)  It was a great Sunday and we had one more day of the weekend!!

On Monday we headed to check out Courtney and Travis' new house!  It was great seeing Jaxon (and Courtney and Travis of course!).  We grilled out and watched movies.  It was the perfect end to a pretty perfect holiday weekend.

Next weekend we're heading to St. Louis to a Cubs/Cards game and to spend some much needed time with Raker!

Graduation Weekend

I am beyond proud of Steve for graduating with his Associates!

We started out Friday night watching Steven walk across the stage and get his college degree!!! :)

Proud Mom and Dad.
He's such a stud!!

Afterwards we headed to BWWs for a few celebratory beers.  We made it an early night because Kaitlyn and Steve's big grad party was Saturday.

Saturday we headed over to Mom and Dad's to help get everything ready for the graduation party.

 The Graduates.
Lots and lots of delicious food...

and some great yard games.

Not only were we celebrating the graduations, but Jon proposed to Kaitlyn during the party!  So we really got down to celebrating! :)

The McEldowneys...obviously RJ was in really good shape! :)
Some of the boys!

Steve and Amber having a blast!
Melissa and Thomas made it!!!

We were having a REALLY good time :)

The newly engaged couple and Dad.

Flippy cup photos..

Jess and Steve doing some techno moves!  They're such good dancers!

We drank and ate my mom and dad out of house and home, but it was one of the funnest parties we've ever thrown!

Sunday was spent recovering from the wonderful weekend...grocery shopping and laying on the couch. :)

Steve is losing all his wisdom...

TEETH!! :)  Yesterday was spent at the oral surgeons office getting all 4 of Steve's wisdom teeth pulled.  When we first went in, we were told it was going to be an easy procedure and should be pretty quick.  Well, we all know how Steve somehow makes things ten times harder than they really are....

Well I guess it's not his doing most of the time. :)  When I was called back to the room, the nurse said it was the worst surgery that she could remember.  I walk into his recovery room, and Steve tells me he was asleep for only 1 of the 4 teeth!  The doctor told him he wasn't reacting to the anesthesia right, so they just kept him awake.  The doctor came in and told us the exact same thing the nurse had, he couldn't remember a worse surgery.

As you can see, he's a little swollen (and loopy from the pain meds).

We've spent the weekend so far watching movies...

looking up the value of Steve's Jordan card collection...

and reading! :)

It's probably a good thing we're having a laid back weekend (although I bet Steve wishes it was by choice instead of by doctor's orders) since we have Steve's GRADUATION next Friday and the Steve and Kaitlyn's joint grad party next Saturday.  It's going to be a fun, but long weekend.

Mother's Day Weekend

Since Steve's mom had to work all Mother's Day weekend, we decided to celebrate with his mom on Friday night.  We headed to The Firewater Cafe to have a few drinks on the patio until Steve's parents met us for dinner.  I'm so ready for summer, and sitting on the patios is one of my favorite things to do.

After having some delicious Italian food for dinner, we headed downtown to the Avon to see Water for Elephants.  We got there a little early so walked around and took pictures of beautliful downtown Decatur. :)

Steve and Trish.

Me and the Man. :)

Steve & Trish.

We obviously had to take a fun shadow pic. :)

Water for Elephants was an ok movie.  I think the story was really good, but they just didn't do a good job translating it into a movie.  I'm getting the book the next time I'm at the library and I bet I'll love it!

On Saturday we headed to lunch and then out to my parents.  They were out of town so it was going to be a long day of drinking, but it was a beautiful day out.

It turned into a not so good night, and we ended up in the emergency room and 17 stitches in Steve's hand.

Men and their anger management issues.

On Sunday we spent the day at my parent's house eating delicious food and celebrating Mother's day with my mom.

The Royal Wedding...in St. Louis?

After spending all morning watching the Royal Wedding...ahhh to be a Princess :)...we headed for St. Louis for Toni and Shae's big day.  We picked up Jess and R.J. on the way and stopped at Red Robin for lunch (of course :)) and then headed to the hotel.  We got to the hotel, got ready and then stood outside waiting for the shuttle to come and pick us up....well we waited...

..and waited..

...and waited...

So we got a cab and walked into the wedding as the mom's were coming down the aisle (oops!!).  It was the shortest wedding I have ever been to.  If we had gotten there 5 minutes later we would have missed the whole ceremony.  We hopped back on the shuttle and headed to Schlafly's Brewery for the reception.
It was an absolute blast! They only had beers that they brew so it contributed to a pretty good hangover the next day. :)

I was glad to be able to spend some time with the Strohls and Sigfrieds.

And the lovely bride and groom <3

I have to add some pretty amazing dance photos!

I love this guy! :)

One of my favorite photos of all time!!!

Steve and Dad fist pumping! Nothing like bringing a little Jersey Shore to the Midwest. ;)

Obviously we're having a really good time!  We had finally made it back to the hotel and decided we needed food and some good beer (BUD LIGHT!!)

These chili cheese fries definitely don't help with the whole losing weight plan...but they sure were delicious!!!

And a great family shot to end the night!  It was a fun and beautiful wedding and Steve and I's first wedding since we've gotten married! <3 I have to admit, it's a lot less stressful when it's not your wedding! :)

We came home Saturday and the rest of the weekend was spent recovering from Friday night.  On Saturday we rented the Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and Hereafter.

I would definitely recommend Narnia...Hereafter not so much.  It was so slow and nothing big really happened past the first 5 minutes of the movie.

We had turkey brats (which Steve actually said "weren't too bad"), garlic potato smashers, and mango salsa.  Absolutely delicious! :)

Sunday we laid around and then met up with my parents at McGorry's Golf and Grille.  It was the perfect end to a pretty amazing weekend!  Now I'm back to work and it's close! :(  I hate when that falls on a Monday.  We'll see what next weekend holds since it's Mother's Day weekend! :)
